John Larsen is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. After graduating from Huntsville High School, John attended the University of Alabama. John graduated, with honors, from the University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. John then went on to attend Law School there at the University. Upon graduation and after passing the Alabama Bar, John served in the Army Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps for four years. Upon leaving the Army, John started in private practice with the firm of Bond, Botes, Sykstus and Larsen, PC, where he was a bankruptcy attorney for almost 15 years. In 2007, John and his wife formed Larsen & Larsen.
Throughout his career, John's practice has been devoted to helping individuals in tough financial situations. John's practice has been focused on the areas of consumer and business bankruptcy, social security/disability and fair debt claims.
Melissa Larsen was raised in Decatur, Alabama where she graduated from Austin High School. Melissa went on to attend the University of Alabama - Huntsville. After working in the Aerospace/Defense industry as a technical writer, Melissa returned to school at Samford University's Cumberland School of Law. While at Cumberland, Melissa was a member of the Law Review and the school's nationally renowned trial advocacy team. Upon graduation, with honors, Melissa was employed in the Huntsville Office of Sirote & Permutt, PC. While at Sirote, Melissa's practice focused on business and employment litigation.
Since forming Larsen & Larsen, Melissa's practice has been focused on general and business litigation, consumer and business bankruptcy and personal injury actions.
